Machine washed and line dried, already softened and ready for reading time. All quilts are hand stitched with repurposed natural fibre cloth. The middle batting is a combination of bamboo and cotton. It’s essential that my quilts are created sustainably, and new cloth is used as sparingly as possible.

96cm x 119cm

Inspired by the book Cloth Lullaby The Woven Life of Louise Bourgeois illustrated by Isabelle Arsenault and written by Amy Novesky. Louise Bourgeois spent her child hood in France as an apprentice to her mother before becoming a tapestry artist herself. With a beautifully nuanced and poetic story, this biographical picture book stunningly captures the relationship between a mother and daughter, illuminating how precious memories are woven into all of us.
