Bantam & the Soldier

Machine washed and line dried, already softened and ready for reading time. All quilts are hand stitched with repurposed natural fibre cloth. The middle batting is a combination of bamboo and cotton. It’s essential that my quilts are created sustainably, and new cloth is used as sparingly as possible.

Inspired by the children’s book The Bantam and the Soldier illustrated by Robyn Belton and written by Jennifer Beck. It is wartime. In the midst of the fighting and devastation, an unusual friendship is formed between a bantam and a soldier. A delightful story that touches on unexpected humanity experienced in times of war. A poignant story of friendship and survival.
