Jenni Shoesmith
Jenni Shoesmith is originally from England and moved to Wellington in 2009 with her husband, Tim. She has a degree in digital animation and has worked in children's television in the UK, including Bob the Builder, Thomas the Tank Engine, and Fireman Sam.
Jenni has also worked in the film industry, both in London and at Weta Digital in Wellington, working on titles such as Gnomeo and Juliet, Rise of the Planet of the Apes and The Hobbit.
Jenni now works as a freelance illustrator and artist. She loves to paint characters and creatures from various cultural myths and legends, as well as plants and animals, and strives to capture the personality of her subjects.
Since having the great privilege of being selected as the illustrator for Heart of Flame, Katherine Mansfield's Flowers and Trees, Jenni has now become a keen gardener and is currently studying horticulture with the Open Polytechnic.
